The subject is my back garden - a hedge with trees. I have treated the group of seven drawings like a 'storyboard' or 'cartoon', so that one extra rule I have introduced is that two trees would seem to move across the frame from right to left in and out of the picture. Each drawing therefore feels to me both a fresh individual drawing (because of the time gap between each one) and part of a sequence.

I have done a parallel series of drawings on each day in the prescribed A6 size using the same idea but in landscape format, and am now doing - using the seven day structure - a series of oil pastel drawings but in A4 portrait format, again with the same idea, and intend to begin soon similarly a series of paintings in a slightly larger format. It might be interesting to extend the project generally to paintings.
